Bright was founded in 2024 by Fredrik Magnusson and Gustaf Strauss while they were studying at Lund University. Like many others, they found course literature to be very expensive and the websites they used to study for exams were inadequate. They began to wonder: What if we built a study platform that had everything a student needs, gathered in one place? That's where the idea for Bright was born. Today, Bright is Sweden's fastest growing study platform and combines various AI tools such as quizzes, flashcards, summaries, and hundreds of thousands of digital textbooks that students can rent or buy.
